Following our announcement yesterday regarding the temporary closure of the restaurant, we wanted to provide a further update.

After initial assessments by structural engineers and our insurers, it has become clear that the damage caused by the recent severe weather is significantly more extensive than first anticipated. Unfortunately, both the restaurant and kitchen areas have been affected, and the remediation work required will be far more substantial than originally expected.

As a result, Jack ‘O’ Bryan’s will remain closed for the foreseeable future while the necessary repairs and restoration work are carried out. At this stage, we are unable to provide a definitive reopening date, as we are still working through the assessment and planning process. However, if all progresses as expected, we are hopeful of welcoming guests back by the autumn.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment this will cause. The recent weather conditions and the resulting damage were entirely beyond our control, but we are committed to restoring the restaurant to the high standards our customers expect and deserve.

We will continue to provide updates here on Facebook as more information becomes available. In the meantime, the team at our sister restaurant, The Crab & Lobster Fish Shack, will be happy to welcome guests.

We have also taken the decision to temporarily suspend the sale of gift vouchers until we have greater clarity on our reopening timeline.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this challenging period. We look forward to sharing positive progress updates with you in the weeks ahead.
